| Tulum is located at about 80 miles/130 km from Cancun International Airport. You can reach it by bus and taxi. The average fare for a one way trip on a bus is about 10 USD. On a taxi it will be about 50 USD. |
| Bus Information |
| There
are two bus terminals in Tulum, one near the Pemex station, open to the public
from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs. The other is located in town and is open 24 hrs. Both
provide first & second class bus service. The collectivo also stops in town on Hwy 307. You can take the collectivo from Tulum to Playa del Carmen for a few pesos. |

| Taxis |
| There are 2 main taxi stands. Just look for the line up of taxis. Usually you do not have to look for a taxi as they are constantly driving by looking for fares. There are also collective taxis which might be useful. |
| Tourist Information / Police |
| The Police station as well as the library, the Mayor's Office and the Tourist Information Office are located beside the baseball field. The Post Office is located on the main avenue [Hwy 307]. |
| Rent a Car |
| The local Herz agency is located in the Pueblo. Private rentals are also available. |
